We’re not the ones to judge the game’s accuracy or depth as a football sim, but we can say that no game impressed us more in terms of its use of 3D visuals. To our minds this worked perfectly, but after interrogating a few more football-minded journos we found some that felt it was still a little limiting compared to the usual side-on TV style view.It still managed to impress the bejeezus out of us though, especially given the ultra smooth graphics and excellent use of the analogue Circle Pad. It’s technically over the shoulder but pulled out far enough that it offers a very wide field of vision. So imagine our surprise when it turned out to have some of the best graphics and most immersive 3D of any of the games present.This isn’t at all the simple port we initially assumed it would be, but instead uses a completely different camera angle to any of the previous games.
